An earlier post/map on this rewarding hike was posted last year (link). To get to the trailhead, drive south from Merritt up the Okanagan Connector and turn off onto the Lundbom Lake Road. Lundbom Lake West Recreation Site is a great location for fishing, horseback riding, and camping. The surrounding area also provides excellent mountain biking and ATV/dirtbike riding opportunities. The Recreation sites is very popular and offers a variety of sites, both sunny and shady, many of which can accommodate fairly large units. Highway 5 to Merritt > Highway 5 to Okanagan Connector > continue south, then turn left onto the Lundbom - Marquart Road > continue on this dirt road to Lundbom Lake part of the Lundbom Commonage used as a parking area for hiking in the area - Sugarloaf Mountain, Cocobonk, Wounded Knee, or the grasslands article - Cocobonk Trail article… A Lake A Day As Long As You Stay. Experiencing Nicola Valley during Spring and Summer months is truly breathtaking. Lundbom Lake located 15min out of Merritt attracts many campers every year.

Lundbom Commonage is reached by driving on the Okanagan Connector from Merritt, then a left turn onto the Lundbom Lake Road. The good gravel road passes Marquart Lake and goes along the shores of Lundbom Lake. There are campsites on both ends of the lake.

Some of the campsites hide under the cover of trees while others enjoy lakeside exposure. 2019-09-25 · Marquart Lake has both tenting and RV sites, but we chose to carry on to Lundbom Lake, another 5-10 minutes down the road.
